떡볶이 Tteok bok ki (Korean spicy fish cake)

I love asian food so here is a nice recipe from Asia. A Korean friend taught me how to cook these (thanks Shingyoung!). Tteok bok ki is a is an easy korean street food dish: it is meant to be very easy, fast, Sweet and Spicy dish.


for 4 people serving

Ingredients

– 3 cup of water

– 2 spoons of 고추장 Gochugan (Korean Red pepper paste)

– 2 big spoon of Sugar (adjust to your taste)

– 1/2 of a leek

– a bag of fishcakes tubes

– a bag of rice cakes sticks

Instructions

  1. put 3 cup of water and boil it  
  2. put 2 spoon of  고추장(red pepper paste), leek (1/2 of it), fishcakes 
  3. Add 2 big spoon of sugar (the mixture is basically salty and spicy so add the sugar according to your taste – add more red pepper paste if it is not spicy enough)
  1. put ricecakesand stir until ricecakes become soft and chewy (able to cut them with spoon)
